perimenopause can feel like navigating a minefield
You might suddenly be hit with a host of symptoms that you've never experienced before. It could be constant tiredness, impossible to shift weight gain (especially around the middle), mood swings, forgetfulness, anxiety and disturbed sleep. Symptoms can come and go, so you might not always connect them to perimenopause.
And, you can begin to address them.
These symptoms can be distressing, impact your day-to-day life and leave you feeling less confident. But recognising and understanding why you're experiencing them (and that most women do), helps dispel fears, reduces uncertainty and helps you to feel less alone.
OH, HEY!
The menopause transition is mired in myth and misunderstanding. We’re constantly fed negative narratives that impact our perceptions and ultimately our experience. I’m passionate about smashing the taboos and changing the narrative. I help inspire and empower women like you to reclaim their health and wellness to rescript midlife.

Before our first appointment you'll complete a health and lifestyle questionnaire and food diary. We'll go through this, set your health goals and make a plan, which might include test recommendations to help identify factors that may be amplifying your symptoms. This could be a test to assess your body's need for antioxidants, vitamins, minerals, essential fatty acids, amino acids, digestive support, and other select nutrients, stool testing or food intolerance testing to assess digestive health.
Your personalised health optimisation plan will encompass nutrition, meal and recipe recommendations, supplements (if appropriate) and lifestyle support. We take things at your pace with a step-by-step approach that's both balanced and sustainable. I don't ask you to completely overhaul your diet in one go - that's not fun and doesn't usually work in the long run.
Regular coaching sessions will help you take consistent action and keep moving toward your goal. During these sessions we'll re-evaulate your plan based on how things are going - maybe things are going well and you feel able to make more changes, or maybe you've had a tough week and need more strategies to keep you on track. I'm on your team and here to support you every step of the way.
LET'S BREAK it DOWN
During the first consultation we'll discuss your health and family history, diet and nutritional status, set your health goals and make a plan.
I'll support you to take consistent action through regular consultations. We'll consistently re-evaluate your plan to help you reach your health goals.
You'll get to know your body better, gain clarity on what works for you, and equip yourself with a toolbox of strategies to use for life.
“Set realistic goals, keep re-evaluating, and be consistent.”
It depends on your individual situation. I aim to give you a comprehensive plan during the initial consultation. Regular ongoing consultations help you maintain consistency and motivation to reach your goals.
Frequently Asked Questions
Some nutrients are especially important during perimenopause and are difficult to obtain solely from the diet. Moreover, there are several that can be depleted by medications, such as HRT.
Yes, sometimes, e.g. if I think you may be deficient in a nutrient from the information you provide or your diet, for example if you are following a vegetarian or vegan diet. I may also suggest thyroid, food intolerance, stool, or vaginal microbiome testing if appropriate.
