You'd think a natural phase of life would be easy, right? But it's not.

You might suddenly be hit with a host of symptoms that you've never experienced before. It could be constant tiredness, impossible to shift weight gain (especially around the middle), mood swings, forgetfulness, anxiety and disturbed sleep. Symptoms can come and go, so you might not always connect them to perimenopause.

And, you can begin to address them.

These symptoms can be distressing, impact your day-to-day life and leave you feeling less confident. But recognising and understanding why you're experiencing them (and that most women do), helps dispel fears, reduces uncertainty and helps you to feel less alone.

Before our first appointment you'll complete a health and lifestyle questionnaire and food diary. We'll go through this, set your health goals and make a plan, which might include test recommendations to help identify factors that may be amplifying your symptoms. This could be a test to assess your body's need for antioxidants, vitamins, minerals, essential fatty acids, amino acids, digestive support, and other select nutrients, stool testing or food intolerance testing to assess digestive health.

Your personalised health optimisation plan will encompass nutrition, meal and recipe recommendations, supplements (if appropriate) and lifestyle support. We take things at your pace with a step-by-step approach that's both balanced and sustainable. I don't ask you to completely overhaul your diet in one go - that's not fun and doesn't usually work in the long run.

How many appointments will I need?

It depends on your individual situation. I aim to give you a comprehensive plan during the initial consultation. Regular ongoing coaching sessions help you maintain consistency and motivation to reach your goals.

Frequently Asked Questions

If I'm eating a good diet, why do I still need to take supplements?

Some nutrients are especially important during perimenopause and are difficult to obtain solely from the diet. Moreover, there are several that can be depleted by medications, such as HRT.

Do you recommend tests?

Yes, sometimes, e.g. if I think you may be deficient in a nutrient from the information you provide or your diet, for example if you are following a vegetarian or vegan diet. I may also suggest thyroid, food intolerance, stool, or vaginal microbiome testing if appropriate.

Where do consultations take place?

All consultations take place online in my client portal (Kajabi). After making payment you will be able to schedule your appointment.

How do you take payment?

All appointments are paid for in advance using a payment portal called Stripe - consultation transactions appear on your statement as a card payment.

How do I book a consultation?

What is your cancellation policy?

All appointments are paid for in advance. I operate a strict 24-hour cancellation policy for scheduled consultations, with the full cost of your appointment payable if the required notice isn’t provided.

Can I email you if I have a question following a consultation?

I can answer brief queries about your plan following a consultation, but otherwise a follow-up should be booked as I cannot deal with new situations over email.
